Meet the Team

Louis Stevens

Camp Director

With over 35 years of volleyball coaching experience, Coach Stevens has had the opportunity to work with hundreds of players who have gone on to play collegiate volleyball at the D1, D2, and D3 levels. He currently is the Head Coach of the Bloomfield Girls and Bloomfield Boys Volleyball programs. He began his playing career at Midwood High School in Brooklyn, NY in 1987. Coach Stevens went on to St. Bonaventure University where he worked as an undergraduate assistant for 3 years with the Women's Volleyball Team. Coach Stevens has coached for several high school volleyball programs in New Jersey before taking over both the Boys and Girls volleyball programs at Bloomfield High School in 2005. Coach Stevens has led his boys program to 6 County Championships (2006, 2008-10, 2016, 2019) as well as being runner-up in 2017, 2018, 2022. His Girls teams have consistently been competitive in the SEC and were County runner-up in 2008. In 2008, Coach Stevens was named the Star Ledger New Jersey Boys Volleyball Coach of the Year. In 2000, Coach Stevens began coaching with the Atlantic Valley Volleyball Club, where he served as coach and later as Technical Director. Coach Stevens is USAV CAP Level 2 Certified and Gold Medal Squared Level 1 Certified. Coach Stevens currently coaches the 17 Platinum Team at CORE Volleyball Club in Hillsborough, NJ.

Ronald Gasparri

Coach

Coach Gasparri is the Head Coach for the Girls Freshman team and the Head Coach for the Boys Junior Varsity team, both at Bloomfield High School. He was a multi-sport athlete at Glen Rock high school (football, wrestling) and attended Scranton University. He has been coaching with Coach Stevens for many years and has developed a strong knowledge of the game of volleyball and his ability to teach the game is second to none.

Daniel Barry

Coach

Coach Barry was part of the inaugural Boys Volleyball team at Bloomfield High School in 1999 and played till he graduated in 2002. He is the Head Coach for the Junior Varsity Girls Team and the Head Coach for the Freshman Boys team. Before coming to teach and coach at his Alma Mater, Coach Barry was a standout player for his College Men’s Club team at Plymouth State University.
